Hiring Range DOQ: $22.11 – 23.93 hourly
Assist in the implementation, coordination, and supervision of specialized comprehensive citywide programs and facilities as assigned, including, but not limited to, indoor/outdoor aquatics, recreation centers, and parks.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a degree in recreation, physical education, or related field; or any such combination of education, experience, and training as may be acceptable to the hiring authority.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the field is preferred.
Preferred Certifications: CPR, AED, First Aid, Lifeguard Training, Lifeguard Training Instructor, and Water Safety Instructor.
Must be willing and will be required to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours on a regular basis depending upon the season and activity.
Must possess or be able to obtain prior to hire a valid driver’s license.

Under direction of City Administrator, plans, directs and manages the activities and operations of the Parks and Recreation Department, including care and maintenance of all City parks, public grounds, recreational facilities and buildings within City parks and those areas designated as publicly maintained. Manages all Parks and Recreation staff including maintenance, aquatics, forestry and recreation, full-time and seasonal.
