City of Spearfish is accepting applications for a full-time Recreation and Aquatics Specialist who is responsible for the operation, direction and coordination of recreation and aquatics personnel and activities of the City of Spearfish Recreation and Aquatics Facility. Includes pre-open and startup.
Responsibilities: Responsible for daily planning, coordination, direction, inspection, maintenance and review of recreation/aquatics programs, policies, facility, staff and services. Responsible to enforce, recreation and aquatic policies and activities to ensure compliance with City policies and procedures, supervisor directives, resolutions, ordinances and State and Federal regulations and guidelines.
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Recreation or related field such as Physical Education, Sports Management or Wellness; and three years experience in recreation and aquatics program implementation or a combination of education and experience to perform essential functions of this position. Supervisory skills preferred.

Salary: up to $124,600
The City of Saint Paul is seeking a visionary Parks and Recreation executive to lead its nationally accredited and award-winning Division of Parks and Recreation, one of the best in the nation for a variety of reasons, including: very active and numerous volunteer groups; a free zoo; a conservatory; extensive and well-maintained parks; one of our parks is the Mississippi River; in-house design staff; local bonding rules; and excellent partnerships with other parks and recreation systems.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree in any field of study, with a preference in Parks and Recreation or a related field and seven years of progressively responsible public or private sector leadership or management experience working in/with large multifaceted service oriented organizations. A certification in Parks and Recreation is preferred; must obtain the certification within two years of hire.
