Doug Hofer made a motion that we agree as a board to certify as a state for one more year and then have the intent to go with NRPA for certification.  Kristi Lint second – Approved by all.

Communications: We will be moving our website to a new sever.  This will help with getting the membership page working.  Lance Catron will be taking over as the communications chair.

NRPA:  We received 4 nominations for this three year term

Student:  Paul Ulrich will be our new person from SDSU

Aquatics:  No conference as the speaker backed out at the last minute.  We will be having the life guard competition next summer in Yankton.

Community Rec.:  Did not have as many people show up to conference as expected.

Goals:  We did a good job as getting our goals accomplished this past year.  Need to work on accreditation numbers for the state and do what we can to get SDSU accredited.  We will be sending a letter of support to help with this process when the time is right.

Congress is in Indianapolis:  Sept 25-29

Archery Equipment Donation:  The National Alliance for the Development of Archery is looking for an organization to be the keeper of their archery items.  They would be responsible for keeping track of all the equipment and sending it out to schools.  It was decided that there would be a better organization for this job and we would give them some suggestions.

Next meeting:  Nov 15-16 in Pierre at the Comfort Inn
